According to data shared by Notícias ao Minuto, from a survey by the consulting firm Imovendo, respondents predict that the sale of houses will slow down in 2024.

The survey was composed of investors, owners, and real estate consultants, revealing that home sales may stagnate or decrease in 2024, compared to 2023.

"According to the results, 45.8% of the 3,478 respondents who answered admit a stagnation in the real estate market this year," reads the news.

In addition, two-thirds (67.8%) of those surveyed argued that there will be a decrease in interest rates, but that they will still remain too high.

So, according to the consultant's survey, looking ahead to 2023, the majority of respondents (56.1%) assume that the expectations they had for the beginning of last year "were not met, with 50% admitting that price was the most influential factor in the decision, 31.3% pointing to the location and 12.5% to the condition of the properties," concludes the news.
